Because Jesus is offering DEATH now, and soon DEATH will be dead. You need DEATH to be saved, and if you miss it now, you will miss it forever.
DEATH will soon be cast into SECOND DEATH and after that DEATH will not be available anymore.
Everybody in the SECOND DEATH will scream for DEATH but DEATH will be DEAD and thus not available.
Take the CROSS now, by faith and baptism, and DIE while you still can.
When DEATH gets KILLED
11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Romans 6 Explains Ontological Death
3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin. 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Christ tells Us to “DIE”
37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

Termination and Germination
The only way that God allows and ordains for salvation is to be cut off from the cursed Adamic nature through DEATH.
This cannot be, and it is not substitutionary. It is real and organic and effective as the language of Romans, Galatians, and Colossians etc. shows.
The legal maneuvering and fake book entries called “Penal Substitution” are not ontological and not real; it apparently the lukewarm, but not the living God.
God just isn’t that stupid and that desperate and that lazy. God wants HOLINESS in REALITY.
The Great Engineer
God is an engineer a biologist and the great creator. He creates and He fixes things.
PROCLAIMING broken things to be WHOLE is much less glorious than FIXING those broken things as most “Reformed” people and by default Charismatics, slothfully and ridiculously believe.
Reformed Theology is obsessed with JUSTIFICATION and makes trifle of TRANSFORMATION and less of SALVATION.
Flash back: This is because the Reformers were lawyers in a legal battle with the Roman Catholic Church and they were not doctors and engineers. Fixing broken things is not important to Reformed people, they just want to be “PRONOUNCED INNOCENT”.
I love Luther and Calvin, they had a difficult job and they did it marvelously, but to replace the Bible with their sixteenth-century theology is not a good idea.
Reformed Theology mistaken proclaims “JUSTIFICATION’ as SALVATION.
Reformed Theology also does not comprehend or preach “regeneration” (born-again). Reformed Theology typically only wants “justification”, fake entries in the cosmic ledger.
Charismatics are not very clever, and they fell into this same slothful way.
Take the Offer and be Transformed
The opportunity of a lifetime must be taken in the lifetime of the opportunity.
Those who REJECT the offer of DEATH now will CRY for it later, but DEATH will NOT be AVAILABLE anymore because DEATH and HADES are themselves cast into Gehenna.
See, believe, and embrace the cross as your death. That is the only way to escape the second death.
Hell is the Second Death
The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.14. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.15. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
