Maturity and Complexity

God is SPIRIT and that means His maturity is immensely complex. Maturity is in one sense the ability to handle complexity and that means that immature Christians and their immature theology (philosophy and worldview) embraces and promotes very limited aspects of God and by implication limited faith. Examples of limited theology are tithing, unconditional love, prosperity, 5 Point Calvinism, easy Believism etc.

God cannot Save Lazy Fools

The Biblical Word FOOL

God does not or cannot force us into things we have no appetite for. The Bible is wide and complex and offers incredible complex truth concerning God, all of it pertaining to the glory or Khavod of God all of it contained in Christ.

God does not interfere with our limited theology, aka limited salvation but as we see in the parable of the Sower all do not bear the same amount of fruit.

CS Lewis said that heaven will be a place of great inequality but everybody will be satisfied.

The Millennium and the New Jerusalem will be a place of great inequality yet everybody will be SAVED, according to their FAITH. Certainly not equal.

Seeing that we are not saved BECAUSE WE BELIEVE but BY WHAT WE BELIEVE most will not be saved very much.

The Western Mind and Kentucky Fried Church want a tick box minimum standard and that severely limits growth.

22 Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
” (Matthew 13:22, NKJV)

13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
” (1 Corinthians 2:13–14, NKJV)

  1. For it is a great mystery, how can it be defined?… There is no end to it, why should we as humans try and limit this GREAT God we serve.
