Curriculum

The Gospel

The Central message in the Bible is “Jesus Christ Crucified and Resurrected”.

All doctrine and teachings must revolve around that central revelation.

The gospel is summed up in that there are two Adams. Firstly the Adam in Genesis and secondly, “Christ” as the second and also the last Adam. Christ is a second prototype for man, and in him consists the  miracle offer from God called, the Gospel.

The first Adam is the father of our fallen flesh and from him we inherited a terminal and destructive genetic flaw called “spiritual death” aka sin. We are literally born with a dead spirit as a result of Adam’s fall and are thus destined to die, not have eternal life and not know God. We cannot know God with a dead spirit because God is SPIRIT.

Salvation

The only way to be saved from this cursed first Adam is to be crucified with Christ (the last Adam) on the Cross. This is accessed through faith and baptism.

The clearest scripture summing this is probably Galatians 2:20 but there are many other portions also. Romans 6 & 8 also outlines this point clearly and powerfully. The rest of this curriculum must always be seen and interpreted in the light of Christ crucifixion and resurrection and out inclusion in that death and resurrection by faith and baptism.

19 For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. ” (Galatians 2:19–20, NKJV)

Begotten Again form the dead

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. ” (1 Peter 1:3–5, NKJV)
