5 Stages in a Man’s Life is a powerful book written by Dr. Jim Wilder by which we understand that each man goes through five stages of maturity in his life.

These stages are

  • Infant
  • Boy
  • Young Man
  • Father
  • Elder

Einstein said genius is the ability to make a complex simple and in these five bullets and the associated two-pager lies a comprehensive solution for 80% of society’s ills.

Toxic masculinity in scientific language is simply the observation of what happens when men remain infants and boys for all their lives.  Rape, oppression, and exploitation are largely the work of infants and boys and lifegiving masculine community building that of men and fathers. Statesmen like Lee Kuan Yew, Mandela, and Adenauer are elders, in secular terms.

5 Stages in a Man’s Life lay an enormously powerful foundation for the maturing and the discipleship of each one of us individually as a Christian and they also lay a profound and critical foundation for a successful marriage and parenting of our children.

The Great Commission

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
” (Matthew 28:18–20, NKJV)
