Adam is flesh, God is SPIRIT
Most think that Adam (man) is real and God is a spook, God is like smoke. They honestly think the eternal Spirit is like smoke.
They think, maybe inadvertently, “God is there, but you can’t see Him and don’t really have to worry about Him. He is some loving ethereal creature in the clouds and all He does is try to bless us. He doesn’t actually do a good job about blessing us, if you watch the news, but we forgive Him.”
In truth however Adam is flesh and the Eternal, Seven folded Spirit, who dwells in unapproachable lights, is like Steel. The Spirit is harder, older and immutable. The Spirit is the origin of matter, anti-matter, intellect and emotion. The Spirit is infinitely more complex, nuanced, intelligent and emotionally rich than the flesh also. Human souls cannot comprehend or received the Spirit. See 1 Cor 2
What now?
The purpose of earth as we know it is to form God into man. To transform flesh into Steel (Spirit) so that Man can be with God and be like God. This notion is not commonly understood or preached.
5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
” (John 3:5–8, NKJV)
The second point that distinguishes the Hard Gospel form the mushy gospel is that Christ did not die in your place, and He did not take your sin to the cross. He did not “pay” for sin to appease an angry Father in your place.
You must be crucified
20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
” (Galatians 2:20, NKJV)
37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
” (Matthew 10:37–39, NKJV)
Baptism
The only way to be saved is to die with Christ on the cross yourself. The portal into this dynamic is baptism. Baptism is not essentially a ritual perform in church, it is an ongoing response of a clean conscience towards God according to 1 Pet 3:21.
We are baptised Christ’s death and resurrection through ongoing faith. The fruit of this baptism is death to sin and resurrection life. See Rom 6:1-14
Few get this right
23 Then one said to Him, “Lord, are there few who are saved?”
And He said to them, 24 “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. 25 When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’ 26 then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’ 27 But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’ 28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out. 29 They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God. 30 And indeed there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last.”
” (Luke 13:23–30, NKJV)
There is hope and help off course for those who love God
26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
” (Romans 8:26–30, NKJV)
