Worshipping God is about cutting off the flesh and entering by faith into the Spirit.
A quick search reveals more than 80 cases where the Spirit is pitched as the alternative to the Flesh
The choice is not between licentiousness or legalism. The Bible does not present “Grace” as the alternative to “the Law” but the Bible pitches the Spirit as the alternative to “the Law” and as the alternative to “the flesh”.
Walking in the Spirit or in the Flesh
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. ” (Galatians 5:16–18, NKJV)

Free from Indwelling Sin
