The love of God is “in Christ Jesus” not outside
37. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.38. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,39. nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:37-39
Yet some have been taken away and cast out by the Father
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.2. “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
John 15:1-2
“If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
John 15:6
Love and Obedience is one thing in Christ. Those who have been removed by the Father because they bore no fruit, despite being grafted into the vine, have no claim nor access to the Love of God. Rom 8 does not apply to them.
Why mention this horrible thing?
Point is, abide and bear fruit. The Love of God is Spirit and is IN CHRIST not outside Christ. When we abide in Christ fruit is inevitable. Yet some fail.
15. “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.16. “So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
Revelation 3:15-16
Oops! We can hardly claim unconditional continuing love in such a case. What nonsense?!
The purpose of this article is not to scare you, but to show the preciousness and the power and the fruitfulness which is in “the Love of God which is in Christ Jesus”.
We cannot sit around with a lukewarm measure of faith and think everything is OK. Maybe someone deceived us and said the love of God has no terms an conditions when scripture clearly states that the Love is “in Christ Jesus”.
God’s love, just like God’s Salvation and God Himself is SPIRIT.
We must abide IN CHRIST JESUS!
