Adam is the genetic father of all humans. Just as baboons beget baboons so the “old man” Adam brought each of us forth a sinner in our DNA. You cannot teach a baboon to be a human. In the same way you cannot teach Adam to be like Christ. Behavior modification and forgiveness does not solve the DNA problem.
Like father like son
Adam is the root of all sin and in Adam all humans are born Adamic, or sons of Adam. Sons of Adam are also called “sons of disobedience” or “the old man”.

Original Sin
Theologians have long doctrines about sin and original sin, but the simple reality is that a baboon’s children are baboons. The individual acts of “baboon sin” is not the main problem for God. The baboon is of the wrong species, the wrong type.
The purpose of the earth from the Garden of Eden, in Genesis 1, to the New Jerusalem in Revelation 22, is one simple thing – a virgin bride for God’s Son. Just as Eve came out Adam, even so Christ bride must come out of Christ. She must be of the same species, i.e. she must be made from God. Just like a rehabilitated baboon will not suffice as a wife for your son, so Adam and his offspring will not suffice for God’s Son.
The Cross is a singularity
At the Cross the Old Man is Crucified and the New Man resurrected. This process is called the new birth as Jesus refers to in John 3.
Nothing else will suffice.
The First Adam and the Last Adam
45. And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.46. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual.47. The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven.48. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly.49. And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man. Adam brought death to all mankind, the Last Adam brings life
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—13. (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.14. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.15. But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.16.
